The Los Angeles Chargers roster is loaded and they finally started winning in 2018. However, once they played a team with a real head coach in the playoffs, they got smoked because Anthony Lynn is a lame duck. The Chargers have a chance to keep adding to a great team. Tom Telesco has done a great job drafting in recent years. Let’s go inside the war room. What can we expect from the Los Angeles Chargers during the 2019 NFL Draft?

First Round (Pick 28) – The Chargers already have a dominant pass rush. Why not make it even better. I’ve talked a lot about this defensive line class. You’re better off just getting one. Especially with what is a strong roster. Dre’Mont Jones fits right in next to Justin Jones. Dre’Mont doesn’t dominant against the run but he can really get after the quarterback. Can you imagine what some interior rush can do with Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram? Oh, boy.

Second Round (Pick 60) – The Chargers lost Jason Verrett in free agency and could use another corner. This is a good range to find one. JoeJuan Williams could be an option. Williams is a 6-foot-3 corner with long arms. He also ran a 4.50 – 40 time. Williams has good production in the SEC and faired well at the combine. Turn on the game against Ole Miss and you will be impressed. Seems like a good fit in LA.

Third Round (Pick 92) – Tyrell Williams just signed a massive deal with the Raiders. That leaves Mike Williams and Keenan Allen on the roster. Let’s bring a deep threat to the Chargers. Gary Jennings can fly. He blew by defenders at the Senior Bowl and can take the top off the defense. One way or another, the Chargers could use another weapon. If the Chargers want to go with a big receiver, Hakeem Butler may be on the radar. 6-foot-6 and a similar skill set to Tyrell.

Other than that, the Chargers may focus on some offensive line help. A swing tackle. A replacement for Sam Tevi? Long term replacement for Pouncey?
